Kid-Friendly Weekend Camping Menu

Is your family stuck in a rut when it comes to meals at camp? Are you sick and tired of the kids being picky about what you’ve made? This is your weekend!

There are 15 weekends in the traditional summer camping season and I am thrilled to say that I have created a menu for each one of them! I’m sharing with you a variety of meal plans that range from traditional camping food to nutrition plans like Keto to super simple no-stress meals. Some menus focus on getting the most out of a single cooking tool like an Instant Pot or Blackstone griddle while most use your whole RV kitchen. And there’s even one just for tent campers with limited resources like a fridge.

I encourage you to take a break this summer, spend more time with your family, and less time stressing about what to make to feed your crowd. All you need to do is make your grocery list and shop.

Camping Meal Plan Series: Delicious Recipes for Your Summer Adventures - Family-friendly Camping Meal Ideas

The best part is that it’s all customizable for your family! For example, if I tell my neighborhood, tonight is spaghetti night, let’s see what you make. I will have at least 15 different varieties of what each family thinks of as a spaghetti dinner. And all of them will be fantastic. So that’s my thought process for these plans. I give you a basic meal idea like grilled smoked sausage served with BBQ sauce and a side of roasted potatoes and now you can customize it with your family’s favorite BBQ sauce, grandpa’s famous roasted potatoes, and if you want you can even add a salad to your meal. If you don’t like one of my ideas, that’s not a problem, I’ve left you plenty of room to scratch it out and write in your own meal.

And if there’s a chance that you haven’t heard of my meal idea, I’ve made sure that you can easily Google search it and find a recipe. You never know, it may become a new family favorite!

Each printable menu has four breakfasts, four lunches, four afternoon snacks, and three (sometimes four) dinners. It’s a full Friday-Monday meal plan to rely on each and every weekend. Friday night dinners were designed to be more simple to allow setup and chill time at camp and Monday breakfasts are easier than the others since you’ll probably be packing up. Most lunches can be packaged up and eaten wherever you are exploring. And because I love variety, there are very few repeats between all 15 weeks!

My hope is that your whole family enjoys these meals, but most importantly the time spent together while camping and getting away from the busyness of your everyday lives.
