Explore the beauty and wonder of US national parks, treasured by millions worldwide. These protected areas offer a wealth of historical and natural attractions, but high visitor numbers can lead to crowds. To address this, the National Park Service (NPS) has implemented a reservation and permit system for crowd control. While opinions may vary, it's here to stay for the foreseeable future. Most parks and monuments don't require reservations or permits, but popular ones like Zion, Rocky Mountain, Arches, Acadia, and Glacier do. It's important to check each park's official NPS website for the most current information and rules before planning a visit in 2023. If you have any questions, many parks are happy to assist you over the phone.
There are several benefits of free days at US national parks: Cost savings: Visiting a national park can be expensive, especially if you are planning to visit multiple parks. Free days allow you to visit a park without having to pay the entrance fee. National parks also offer a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, and more. Free days allow more people to take advantage of these opportunities and enjoy the great outdoors.
Summer is the perfect time to make memories with your kids at the beach. Not only is it a fun and relaxing way to spend time together, but it also offers plenty of opportunities for learning and exploration. One of the most important things to remember when taking kids to the beach is to stay hydrated, which is where Puffin Drinkwear comes in. These innovative drink”ware” options allow you to keep drinks cold for hours, so you can spend more time enjoying the beach and less time worrying about keeping drinks at the right temperature.
When the heat of the summer settles into the lower elevations of Colorado we find ourselves desperate to escape up to the mountains in search of cooler temps and a change of scenery. And 9 times out of 10 we find ourselves in Breckenridge. Breck, as most of us call it, is a summer paradise and a great way to spend a day with your family. Though Breckenridge is amazing all year round, summertime is my favorite. Okay maybe fall, too.

Last time we talked hiking we were sharing the simple hike/walk through Waterton Canyon in the South Denver suburbs. Today I'm back talking about a much different trail to St. Mary's Glacier not far from Idaho Springs, CO. The drive is out of the way and the glacier is even more out of the way. But let me tell you it is definitely worth every second. Google search the drive, they will give you better directions than I could, because I made Mandy drive.
