KOA Care Camps Big Weekend

KOA Care Camps Big Weekend

Every May KOA hosts this great event and it's open to anyone and everyone.  The purpose of the weekend is to raise awareness about the KOA Care Camps for kids with cancer - a week where they get to go have fun and try to forget their burden of their illness.  Most importantly it's also a weekend to raise funds for these camps.  As part of the fundraising when you stay Friday night at a KOA paying full price you get to stay Saturday night for only $10 and that money goes directly to help the camps.  It's a win win for everyone!

Creating A Trip Planning Folder

Creating A Trip Planning Folder

Our life with three little boys is always chaotic - toys, snacks, homework, and laundry are always around and it makes me kinda crazy!  I desire organization in everything.  Out of habit whenever we're in the planning stages of a vacation I always find a folder or notebook to use as my catchall.  Our printed reservations, maps, notes, packing list, etc. almost always make their way into the catchall then I'm able to grab it and go when it's time to leave.  If I can find it buried on my desk. So I decided THIS was the year to dedicate one spot, one specific thing, to all of our plans.  And of course I decided that we need another printable, because I just love how the others have turned out!

25+ Money Saving Tips for PLANNING Your Next Family Camping Trip

Our love for the outdoors and the fun we have together is why our family loves camping.  But the main reason we continue to camp is because of our budget limitations.  Camping allows us to "vacation" more frequently and do more activities than a typical family vacation.  Sure, we'd love to take the kids to Disneyland, but it would be a short trip and the only vacation for the whole year.  With the same budget we can go on at least 5 camping trips throughout the summer and experience so much more.
