Replacing counters in our RV

Replacing counters in our RV

Now that we have taken care of the floors, painted the cabinets, hardware, and attempted to improve the fridge it was time to turn our attention to the counters and table.  After years of neglect the original counters were in poor shape!  The particleboard was warped, the plastic/rubber molding would not stay in place and the tops were stained. Sadly, the table wasn't much better!

THE BEFORE

THE BEFORE

Yesterday we introduced you to our new to us little pop-up camper.  We have spent the past few weeks lovingly giving it a face lift as well as making some necessary repairs and upgrades.  But first we wanted to show you what exactly we purchased before we started making the changes - well technically a few changes in because there were a few things that needed to be done instantly.  Without further ado...

Time Flies!!

Time Flies!!

Well we have just been ignoring our brand new little blog in the month of June!  Of course we do have some great reasons that kept us away from the computer (which is always a good idea!).  We snuck in two quick camping trips in Iowa and Nebraska, Jason and Dani did a 24 thru walk on segment 1 of the Colorado Trail, we enjoyed some warm sunny days at a local state park, and spent the 4th of July with family.  But most importantly after YEARS of searching we found a new to us RV!!

How do you plan your camping trip?

How do you plan your camping trip?

What kind of camping trip planner are you?

Do you pinpoint a destination and then find a camping spot and things to do around that destination?

Do you find the campground first?

Do you blindly pick a spot on the map and head there?

Do you rely on recommendations?

No matter how you start planning there is bound to be adventure!

KOA Care Camps Big Weekend

KOA Care Camps Big Weekend

Every May KOA hosts this great event and it's open to anyone and everyone.  The purpose of the weekend is to raise awareness about the KOA Care Camps for kids with cancer - a week where they get to go have fun and try to forget their burden of their illness.  Most importantly it's also a weekend to raise funds for these camps.  As part of the fundraising when you stay Friday night at a KOA paying full price you get to stay Saturday night for only $10 and that money goes directly to help the camps.  It's a win win for everyone!
