Now that the canvas is sparkling white we are moving onto the cabinets in our new to us 1999 Palomino Stallion pop-up camper. The late-90's fake honey oak was just not what we had in mind. The cabinets themselves, just like everything else, had not been well maintained and really needed some repair and a face lift.
When browsing Pinterest for pop-up camper remodel inspiration it's easy to see a theme of color. Retro patterns, bright and cheery, altogether colorful. Bold people pulling their pop-up's out of the dark decades of the past and making it their own. And I say YES! cover your cushions in red and white polka dots and don't let anyone tell you it's out of the box! I love it! Unfortunately, I live in a world of messy little boys and one picky husband.
Every May KOA hosts this great event and it's open to anyone and everyone. The purpose of the weekend is to raise awareness about the KOA Care Camps for kids with cancer - a week where they get to go have fun and try to forget their burden of their illness. Most importantly it's also a weekend to raise funds for these camps. As part of the fundraising when you stay Friday night at a KOA paying full price you get to stay Saturday night for only $10 and that money goes directly to help the camps. It's a win win for everyone!
This past Saturday we spent the WHOLE day at the Denver RV and Boat Show and it's hard to tell if we had more questions when we arrived or when we left. As we've mentioned before we are not ready to purchase that new RV yet, but it's always fun to go 'research' at the shows. We love to see what's new, what's trending, and snoop on what everyone is buying.
