Time flies. It's up to you to be the navigator - Robert Orben
Well we have just been ignoring our brand new little blog in the month of June! Of course we do have some great reasons that kept us away from the computer (which is always a good idea!). We snuck in two quick camping trips in Iowa and Nebraska, Jason and Dani did a 24 thru walk on segment 1 of the Colorado Trail, we enjoyed some warm sunny days at a local state park, and spent the 4th of July with family. But most importantly after YEARS of searching we found a new to us RV!!
In early June, we purchased a 1999 Palomino Stallion pop-up camper! All five of us are super excited. There is so much negative feedback about pop-ups these days, but we knew this little RV is just right for us. Over the past few weeks we have been completely upgrading and redoing our new little camper to get it ready for our big Black Hills/Mt. Rushmore camping trip that is just around the corner.
This pop-up was well loved and well used by it's previous family, but unfortunately lacked a lot of adequate maintenance. So along with new floors and fabric, we've also been replacing water soaked wood and poorly sealed canvas and all those not so fun fixer upper pieces. Luckily, we are on the final stretch of our redo and we can't wait to share all that has been changed, upgraded, renovated, and a few new ideas we came up with.
And we can't wait to share all the reasons why we love our little pop-up.
