Last week we talked about the perfect solution for my kids' postcard collections from past trips. They were so excited about their very own scrapbooks that I got to thinking about our upcoming trips this summer. Inspired by the Project Life Family card collection, I decided to create another simple scrapbook for our whole family. Packed up in this little suitcase we'll be able to take everything we need with us - the scrapbook, cards, and pen. That's it! Then we can all fill in the blanks together as we go along on our adventures!
For this scrapbook, I created a new re-enforced cover just like I did last week. The inside cover also includes a card we can use to list all the places we visited.
My favorite part about this set of cards is that there are several journaling prompts that will help us put more thought into writing down our memories. I think this set also mixes well with the Great Outdoors cards, so I can use them together to fit our needs.
I can't even tell you how much I am looking forward to pulling out our little suitcase every night at the campground and having the boys recall their favorite part of the day and writing down those memories as they happen. And, without a doubt, there will be more postcards!
Now tell me, what do you and your kids do to preserve those wonderful vacation memories?
